Important Message For Our Readers

Thanks to our benefactors in 2005 we were able to pay the annual tuitition of two needy seminarians whose parents are not able to help with the costs of their education.  We receive requests for help all the time, but we are not able to respond unless our benefactors share our desire to help worthy candidates for the priesthood.  Annual tuition costs in seminaries vary from $4,000. to $8,000.  All seminarians who are being helped by the St. Peter Claver Society are praying daily for their benefactors. What we are trying to do to meet the need is to encourage and beg for MONTHLY donations even if the donor can give only a small sum.  To make it possible to help more seminarians in financial need we need about 1,000 regular donors to give five dollars per month or more.  If 1,000 donors give $5.00 per month, this adds up to $60,000. per year.  For faithful Catholics isn't it worth it to provide for our future priests?
